"God made the country, and man-made the town." these two lines were said by the famous English poet William Cowper. From the beginning of civilization, man has formed society. They started living together, and when they were enlighted with the light of civilization, they formed villages. With the passage of time, life has become more robotic and many villages have turned into cities. There are huge remarkable differences between city life and rural life. In City life everything is mechanical. People are always in a rush. Everywhere we can see the piles of concrete. It's very hard to find natural scenarios or an open place where people can sit quietly under a tree and take a breath of relief. The city dwellers are burdened with different problems like traffic jams, air pollution which creates depression among them. Still, people have to live in cities for their livelihood or other purposes like - better transport, better education, better medical facilities. Many people prefer city life because of the convenience hat rural life has failed to provide. Many also like cities because of the entertainment it provides like-movie theatre, shopping malls, amusement parks, fast food shops, etc. On the other hand, rural life is simple and free of many hazards. Rural life is very easy going and people who live there are free from many anxieties and worries. The air is fresh there people are surrounded by green. They have plenty of time to enjoy the natural beauties around them. People who live in villages are usually very simple and contained with what they have. However, they are also deprived of many facilities that city dwellers enjoy. Both the city and rural life have their own kind of advantages and disadvantages. People live in villages or cities on the basis of their own needs and convenience.
Sylhet is one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh. It's a place of natural beauty. Sylhet is widely known for having tea gardens and hills. It is also a holy place as it is known as the place of 360 awlias(saints). Last year I got the opportunity to go to Sylhet. I visited Sylhet with my family. We went there by train. I sat beside the window and enjoy the scenes through the window. I was overwhelmed by the natural scenes. After seven hours long journey, we reached Sylhet. We visited all the places of tourist attractions like- Jaflong which is near the Indian border, Ratargul swamp forest, Lauachara forest, and Tangua Haor. We spent five days in Sylhet. I enjoyed each and every moments of my Sylhet tour.
