Higher education is necessary for the development of an individual. Usually, the education which is offered after higher secondary is known as higher education. In our country, higher education is provided by public and private universities and colleges that are affiliated with National University. The aim of higher education is to gather knowledge, conduct research, and development activities, learn new skills, and work for the development of society and country. For achieving a white-collar job and a better future, higher education is necessary. But earning money is not the sole purpose of achieving higher education. Higher education broadens up one's mind and makes him aware and conscious. A higher educated person can differentiate between good and bad and black and white. He can take better decisions for himself and society. The prosperity of a country depends on the number and quality of higher education. A higher educated person is far-sighted and in terms of needs, he can s

Most of them do not go to school and live their lives by doing odd means. Most of them do not have parents or relatives. They earn their livelihood through low-paying jobs like- collecting garbage, street hawking, polishing shoes, or begging. Their life is very challenging. Our college library is located on the second floor of our college. It is a wide spacious room. There are around 4000 books in our college library. We have books from all genres. Besides academic books, our college library also contains newspapers, journals, fiction, and non-fiction books. All the books are well arranged on shelves. There are also sitting arrangements for the students so that they can study there. We have an efficient librarian who keeps track of the books and arranges them properly. Students can also borrow books from the college library on the condition that they have to return them in a week and the condition should be undamaged. Our college library has helped many students to grow the habit of reading. Our principal also encourages us to read and has allocated an annual budget for the library from the college fund.

Importance of Female Education

According to Napoleon, "Give me an educated mother, I shall promise you the birth of a civilized, educated nation." So no need to say that the development of a nation is possible only if the females, who are half of the population are educated. In our society female education is still taboo. Many people think that educating females is totally unnecessary. They believe that women are born to perform traditional roles like the role of mother, wife, and homemaker. Even some parents also do not want to educate their female child. They prefer to marry them off at a very early age. Child marriage, dowry custom, domestic violence, all these problems have a common root and that is the lack of female education. If we look around, we can see that women can perform any job as well as done by a man or she can even perform better than a man. There is not a single sector where women haven't proved themselves yet. They can also perform challenging tasks. Our country is running successf

Child Labour

Engaging child laborers to work is a common scenario in developing and underdeveloped countries. In Bangladesh, child labor is very common. They are found in RMG sectors, brick kilns, industries like leather and shoes and a major portion of them also work as servants in the household and street hawkers. According to labor law 2006, the employment of children under 14 is illegal. However, still, we haven't seen the proper implementation of this law, as a large number of children are unofficially being engaged in different kinds of manual works. The main reason behind child labour is poverty and the excess number of population. Poverty and hunger are the forces that drive the parents to engage their children in the works. It deteriorates their health and overall welfare. Working children drop out from their school early as a result they do not get the education and skills that are necessary to build a prosperous future. Working for a long hour in an unsafe environment with heavy equ

In 1952, Pakistani rulers declared that Urdu will be the solo national language of Pakistan even though Bangla was spoken by a majority of population of East Pakistan. The people of  East Pakistan couldn't agree with the declaration and protests were carried on. To demolish the protest, the government banned all kind of protest and rallies. Section -144 was declared to ban any kind of rallies and protests in Dhaka. However, students of Dhaka Medical, Dhaka University and some general people disobeyed the declaration and they carried on the protest.
