Floods of bngladesh

Bangladesh is a riverine country. There are about 700 rivers in our country. So, no need to say that flood is a common scenario in our country. Every or another year floods visit our country. The most devasting floods occurred in 1987, 1988, 1991,1998,2019 . Sometimes the flood lasts for several months. The main reason  of flood is excessive rain fall during monsoon. Besides, most of the country consists of huge flood plain and delta. Tropical storms also causes flood in the coastal areas. Long period of heavy rain also causes the overflow of rivers which causes flood. Some menmade reasons are also responsible for floods in our country. Excessive deforestation, unplanned urbanization, rise of sea level due to global warming, poorly designed and maintained dam and embankments also responsible for flood. The after effects of flood is devasting. The sufferings for all, specially the poor people are beyond description. Many people lost their house, shelter, crops, livestock even their lives. People could not manage food or pure drinking water. The sanitation problem also arise after flood. People also suffer from different waterborne diseases like-cholera, typhoid, diarrhoea ets. Crops and vegetables get destroyed so the prices of daily essentials rises from leap and bound. People who are engaged in agricultural works and the people of coastal areas become the worst sufferers.Proper rehabilitation of the flood victims and creating awareness is also necessary. However flood also does some good. The flood water bring silt which make our land fertile and supply of fishes also become available and cheap after flood.

My Visit to Sylhet

Sylhet is one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh. It's a place of natural beauty. Sylhet is widely known for having tea gardens and hills. It is also a holy place as it is known as the place of 360 awlias(saints). Last year I got the opportunity to go to Sylhet. I visited Sylhet with my family. We went there by train. I sat beside the window and enjoy the scenes through the window. I was overwhelmed by the natural scenes. After seven hours long journey, we reached Sylhet. We visited all the places of tourist attractions like- Jaflong which is near the Indian border, Ratargul swamp forest, Lauachara forest, and Tangua Haor. We spent five days in Sylhet. I enjoyed each and every moments of my Sylhet tour.

It is also a matter of great pride for us that we are the only nation that sacrificed their lives for the sake of their mother tongue on  21st February of 1952. In order to show respect to them, UNESCO has declared 21st February as International Mother Language Day. The name of the capital of Bangladesh is Dhaka. The Person I admire most (Prophet Muhammad PBUH)

The person I admire the most is our Prophet Rasulullah PBUH. I love him more than anyone else and even more than my life. He is the role model of honesty, kindness, truthfulness, and well mannered. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mutalib and Aminah Binti Wahab are his parents. He came from the greatest ethnicity in Mecca, which is Qusay Bin Kilab’s family tree from Prophet Ishmael’s generation. Muhammad (p.u.h) is a prophet sent from Allah to all humankind. He is the last prophet. He was born in Makah in the year 570. He was an orphan. So, he was raised by his uncle Abd Al Motaleb who was from a tribe called Qurays The personality of our prophet is too good that I do not have enough words to describe. He was called Al Amin because of his truthfulness. There is no one who can resemble him. He was popular even among non-Muslims because of his truthfulness, honesty, kindness, politeness, patience, and more. Prophet Muhammad is a great figure in the world, and one of the most influential peo...
