Child Labour

Engaging child laborers to work is a common scenario in developing and underdeveloped countries. In Bangladesh, child labor is very common. They are found in RMG sectors, brick kilns, industries like leather and shoes and a major portion of them also work as servants in the household and street hawkers. According to labor law 2006, the employment of children under 14 is illegal. However, still, we haven't seen the proper implementation of this law, as a large number of children are unofficially being engaged in different kinds of manual works. The main reason behind child labour is poverty and the excess number of population. Poverty and hunger are the forces that drive the parents to engage their children in the works. It deteriorates their health and overall welfare. Working children drop out from their school early as a result they do not get the education and skills that are necessary to build a prosperous future. Working for a long hour in an unsafe environment with heavy equ...
