Deforestation means cutting down trees in a large number. Unnecessary cutting down of trees is harmful to nature. It damages our environment. Trees are the best gifts of god to us. They help to maintain ecological balance. They also absorb the excessive heat and ultraviolet rays of the sun. Trees help to manage the damages and destructions caused by natural calamities. In 2007, Sundarban has helped to minimize the damages caused by SIDR. Planting trees in coastal areas prevent coastal erosion. Trees provide us with oxygen, without which living on this planet will be impossible. Trees also absorb carbon-di-oxide that we erect while we breathe. Deforestation also causes the destruction of the food chain. Many wildlife has lost their shelter due to deforestation. Many species also have been extinct as a result of excessive deforestation. Humans have caused deforestation on earth for centuries to fulfill their own selfish needs in the name of development. Forests have been destroyed freely for habitation. In the second half of the twentieth century, industrialization has been popular. So people have cut trees to make a place for industries. But gradually it has proved that species on the planet have been vulnerable due to climate change and global warming. So to keep them in existence we have to plant more trees rather than cutting them off.The developed countries should focus less on earning profit and take steps to prevent deforestation to protect mankind.
Sylhet is one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh. It's a place of natural beauty. Sylhet is widely known for having tea gardens and hills. It is also a holy place as it is known as the place of 360 awlias(saints). Last year I got the opportunity to go to Sylhet. I visited Sylhet with my family. We went there by train. I sat beside the window and enjoy the scenes through the window. I was overwhelmed by the natural scenes. After seven hours long journey, we reached Sylhet. We visited all the places of tourist attractions like- Jaflong which is near the Indian border, Ratargul swamp forest, Lauachara forest, and Tangua Haor. We spent five days in Sylhet. I enjoyed each and every moments of my Sylhet tour.
