Every independent country in the world has its own national flag. It symbolizes the sovereignty of the country. It's a symbol of independence. Like every other free nation, Bangladesh our motherland also has its own national flag. But no other nations in the world have sacrificed as much as we did. So we can say with pride that we earned our national flag at the cost of the blood of our martyrs of the liberation war. Our national flag is rectangular in shape and the proportion of its length and width is 10:6 or 5:3. Almost all government offices and educational institutions hoist the national flag every day. According to our constitution, the national flag should be half-mast on International Mother Language Day 21st February and on our national mourning day, 15th August. If the government of a country declares any day as mourning day, then the national flag should be kept half-mast. Our national flag contains two color-the background of the flag is green in color which is the symbol of youth and in the middle of the flag, there is a red circle which symbolizes the blood that our martyrs have sacrificed for the freedom of our country. Our national flag is a symbol of our victory and achievement. That's why the national flag is hoisted when our country achieves something great. On independence day and victory day, almost every household hoist our national flag. There are certain rules for hoisting the national flag. We should follow them so that we can show our true respect for the national flag. It is our duty to protect our national flag from all kinds of disrespect. As a Bangladeshi citizen, I am really proud of my country and our national flag. Every time I see our national flag, it reminds me of the uncountable sacrifices of our freedom fighters. and martyrs.
Sylhet is one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh. It's a place of natural beauty. Sylhet is widely known for having tea gardens and hills. It is also a holy place as it is known as the place of 360 awlias(saints). Last year I got the opportunity to go to Sylhet. I visited Sylhet with my family. We went there by train. I sat beside the window and enjoy the scenes through the window. I was overwhelmed by the natural scenes. After seven hours long journey, we reached Sylhet. We visited all the places of tourist attractions like- Jaflong which is near the Indian border, Ratargul swamp forest, Lauachara forest, and Tangua Haor. We spent five days in Sylhet. I enjoyed each and every moments of my Sylhet tour.
